5 days in Morocco, starting with a desert tour from Tangier Throughout this 5-day, 4-night journey, you will see Morocco like never before. You will see the most incredible spots in Morocco. The journey begins in Tangier. You will first explore Cape Spartel and Hercules Cave. After that, we’ll cross the Rif Mountains, walk through the blue city of Chefchaouen, and see the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Meknes Sightseeing is also included in the excursion. The itinerary of the 5 day tour from Tangier option 1:
Day 1 : Tanger – Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Morocco Sahara Tours will meet you at the seaport (ferry) in the morning. We will travel to Chaouen, stopping in Tetuán, Spain, before arriving in Chaouen. We set off toward the city of Chaouen. We will walk through its streets and between its old blue and white buildings, as well as admire its panoramic views, before heading to the ancient Roman remains of Volubilis to see the 2000-year-old ruins and get an understanding of life under the Roman Empire. Lunch will be served in Meknes, one of Morocco’s royal cities.
Following lunch, your driver will take you on a tour of Meknes before taking you to Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural center. Accommodation is available in (Raid)
Day 2 : Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga
We will go from Fez to the Middle Atlas to explore Ifrane, considered the Switzerland of Africa. The next stop before getting to Midelt will be Azrou “the rock,” a Berber settlement known for its monkeys. Take the route to Tizi Talent or Cuello del Camella, which is 1,907 meters above sea level. The relief is stunning; the mountains are barren, save for a purple coat. Arrive at Errachidia and commit to traversing the Tafilalet mountain to the Erfoud palm grove. Day 3: Merzouga – Nomadic Families – Village – Return of Erg Chebbi – Camels – Night in Camp
This will be an exciting day in which we will encounter a different Morocco! The 4 4 we passed in the town of Khamlia where you will pause to enjoy Gnawa music then we will continue the trail we will cross mountains that seem hard rocks at first sight but as we walk them we will find that it is fossilized sand that was deposited there millions of years ago. We’ll do some hiking to get to the spot where dinosaur bones are retrieved.
We will enjoy a Berber picnic in a spectacular setting, with mountains on one side and the orange sands of the Sahara on the other.
To cap off our day of extreme adventure, we will pass behind the dunes on little-traveled roads and visit the French cemetery and an abandoned village from the colonial era before embarking on an hour-and-a-half caravan of dromedaries that will take us to the feet of the Great Dune, sheltered by the desert’s beautiful sunset.
Dinner in the camp, followed by a night in a tent in the center of the desert under the beautiful star mantle (Camp)
DAY 4: MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – THE GIRLS OF THE DADES
We’ll wake up early to see the dawn in the dunes before taking a camel ride back to the hotel. Following cooling down and breakfast, we will depart for Tinghir and the Todra Gorges before arriving in the Dades Valley for supper and the night.
DAY 5: DADES – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH – HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAIN – MARRAKESH
We’ll leave after breakfast and travel through the Dades Valley to Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The road of a thousand kasbahs, which goes through the Dades Valley, is a great place to take pictures. We will go to Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa,” through the Valley of the Roses and the town of Skoura. Lunch will be served in Ait Ben Haddou’s famed Kasbah. Following seeing this UNESCO World Heritage site, we will continue our trip over the High Atlas Mountains through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, which reaches a height of 2260m. We’ll take a break to take in the scenery and visit the Argan oil cooperative. The tour will conclude when we get to Marrakesh in the afternoon.
Itinerary option 2:
First day: Tangier – Chefchaouen arrival
During the first day of your 5-tour from Tangier, We will pick you up from your Tangier hotel, airport, or port. Another term for her is the bride of the North. After breakfast, we’ll go exploring Chefchaouen, the blue city. In Berber, horns are also known as “action.” The city is situated in the northwest Rif Mountains of Morocco. It is well known for its blue and white-painted lanes and buildings. We’ll go through its quaint ancient Medina, which has many stunning real blue doors that can add style to your images. After that, you’ll have time for lunch. After that, you may trek to the Spanish mosque, which is on high terrain. You can get a bird’s-eye view of the whole blue metropolis from here. Finally, return to the hotel.
Chefchaouen – Volubilis Roman Ruins – Meknes – Fes on the third day
After breakfast, feel free to explore Chefchaouen’s picturesque alleys. Later we go to Volubilis, where old Roman remains may be seen. Since it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has been meticulously preserved. It has numerous magnificent mosaics throughout, as well as antique pillars and archways. After walking through the ruins, we drive 30 kilometers to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial cities. We visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables and granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then it’s on to Fes. Spend the night at a riad.
Fes sightseeing tour on the fourth day
We will collect you up from your Fes hotel after breakfast and take you on a tour of the city. The city is also known as one of the imperial cities. It is the cultural and religious center of Morocco.
We start the day by visiting the Royal Palace Gate. The well-preserved medieval Medina is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud, leads into the ancient Medina. A local guide will accompany you once you enter the Medina. to view the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and lastly the Quaraouin mosque and university, which is the world’s oldest university. Following that, we leave Medina to explore the Jewish district “the Mellah”. Lastly, we go to a historic castle with sweeping views over the Medina and Fes. Then return to your riad.
In 5 days, you may go from Fes to Rabat and then to Casablanca.
On the last day of your 5-days tour from Tangier, we left Fes after breakfast. Then go to Rabat, Morocco’s current capital, and one of its royal towns. It may be found in northwest Morocco. The Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya are among the city’s features. Following lunch, we’ll go to Casablanca, Morocco’s commercial capital.
