The itinerary of the 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga

Day 1: Fes to Merzouga via Ifrane and Azrou forest.

We will begin our 2 tour from Fes to the desert of Merzouga by picking you up at your hotel. Merely inform us of your location, and our driver will meet you at your Riad or hotel. From there, we will travel over the Atlas Mountains, with our first stop being Imouzar, where you may have breakfast and enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains. The next stop will be Ifrane, the cleanest city in Morocco and the second-cleanest city in the world, behind Calgary, Canada. Today, we will see the Atlas lion monument, which was sculpted by a German prisoner in return for his release from the French during World War II.

Our next visit will be in the Azrou forest, a grove of cedar trees. You will get some free time to engage with the Barbary Macaque monkeys, one of the several species of animals found in the Atlas area. Before continuing on to Midelt and Errachidia, we will snap photographs and feed them.

At Errachidia, you may enjoy a panoramic view of the Dam, which supplies Merzouga and the neighboring communities with water.

Our excursion will conclude at the interesting village of Merzouga, where our camel guides will be waiting at the edge of the dunes with prepared camels. You will ride camels across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, and if you reach in time, we will stop to enjoy the sunset.

When you arrive at the campsite, your belongings will be ready in your tent. Following supper, our Berber crew will play drums and light a fire to create a beautiful atmosphere under the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga back to Fes.

t is suggested to wake up early in the morning to witness the sunrise before taking a 4WD or camel back to your starting point. From there, we will return to Fes along the same road, with two quick stops in Erfoud. The first stop will be at the date market to observe various types of fruits, followed by a visit to the mineral fossils museum.

Finally, we will arrive at Fes, marking the end of our two-day desert tour to Merzouga.
