Day 1: Arrive in Casablanca
We will pick you up at the airport, the port, or your Casablanca hotel. Casablanca is Morocco’s economic and cultural hub, as well as its biggest city. Afterwards we’ll proceed to Morocco’s largest mosque, Hassan II, which is located on the city’s west coast. It is situated on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Lunch is on us. Afterwards, we explore the city and visit Casablanca’s famed corniche. Finally, spend the night at a hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca – Fes
After breakfast, travel from Casablanca to Volubilis to view the ancient Roman ruins. It has been adequately preserved since it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has numerous magnificent mosaics throughout, as well as antique pillars and archways. After touring around the ruins, we drive 30 kilometers to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial towns. In this episode, we visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the royal stables, and the granary, as well as the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then it’s off to Fes. Spend the night in a riad.
Day 3: Fes – Merzouga
After breakfast, we go south through Imouzzer to see Ifrane. The city is well-known for its chilly weather, snow, and alpine-style architecture. It’s no wonder that it’s renowned as Morocco’s Switzerland. Afterwards we walk to the cedar grove to see the Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them while you explore the forest. Next we’ll head to Midelt, where we’ll have some free time for lunch. We then continue to Merzouga through the Tizi-n-Tilghman pass and the Ziz valley, with stops for magnificent sights.
After that, we arrive in the afternoon in the Sahara desert of Merzouga. when you shift on camels to trek the arid desert. You will halt on top of a high dune to view the sunset. You then travel to the camp. This is a cross between traditional nomadic tents and the luxury of a hotel. You may listen to Berber drum music while dancing around a campfire under a vast open sky full of stars. Dinner and sleeping at the camp
Day 4: Merzouga Deser- Dades Valley
Waking up early in the morning is crucial if you want to view the beautiful dawn in the desert. Breakfast is optional. Following that, you return to Merzouga on camels, where the driver awaits. Following that, we leave the desert to explore Rissani, Tafilalet’s ancient capital. Rissani remains a key business centre in the region.
After a tour of the Rissani souk, we fly to Erfoud and see one of the fossilized marble manufacturers. After that, we go through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to the Todra Gorges. The Todra River’s course has carved a beautiful red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains. These gorges are ideal for rock climbers. Feel free to explore the gorges and soak in the surroundings. Lunch at a restaurant is optional. After that, we go to the Dades valley through Boumalne Dades. After that, there are inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and for a sight of the Dades valley. Supper and a hotel stay came next.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains
Finally, we visit Kalaa Magouna to admire the Rose Valley. In May, there is a Rose Festival when locals offer rose-related goods. We continue on to Ouarzazate past Skoura’s palm plantations. Where can we go to view the studios where famous movies were made?
We go for Ait Ben Haddou’s historic Kasbah, a walled village classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has also appeared in a number of films, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and others. And TV series like Game of Thrones. Following that, we travel to Marrakech through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and photographing fascinating locations. Eventually, we arrive in Marrakech and transfer you to the airport or your hotel. The 5-day Moroccan adventure has come to an end.
